Common questions
Why is there no tracking update yet?
Tracking usually appears after USPS acceptance. If the letter was just submitted, you may need to wait for the first scan. After acceptance, updates can pause between facilities.
Does certified mail always show a signature?
Certified mail is delivered with a signature event recorded by USPS. If you need a copy of the signature for your records, add return receipt.
What should I do if it says “Returned to sender”?
Review the tracking history for the reason, such as address issues, unclaimed mail, or refusal. If you still need delivery, send again with the corrected address or instructions.
