Certified Mail tracking
To track USPS Certified Mail®, you need the USPS tracking number and an acceptance scan. Once USPS has the letter, tracking updates show delivery attempts and the final delivery record.
Track a certified letter
Paste your USPS tracking number to open the official tracking page. We don’t store it.
Tip: USPS supports multiple numbers separated by commas.
Where to find the tracking number
What you’ll look for on receipts and confirmations.
USPS receipt (paper or email confirmation) includes the tracking number.
If you send online, your dashboard typically shows the tracking number once USPS accepts the letter.
Tracking updates may not appear until USPS acceptance scanning occurs.
What tracking can prove
Useful proof for disputes and compliance.
Proof of acceptance (when USPS took possession).
Delivery attempts and final outcome (delivered or returned).
A delivery record with signature event (and signature copy if you add return receipt).
