Tracking Your Letters
How to find USPS tracking, interpret statuses, and know when to contact support.
Every letter sent through KiteCourier includes USPS Certified Mail tracking.
Access tracking
- Open the Letters section in your account.
- Find the letter you want to review.
- Open the letter details page.
- Locate the USPS tracking number in the tracking section.
- Select the tracking number to view the latest USPS events.
Common tracking statuses
In Transit to Next Facility
USPS has accepted the piece and is moving it through the mail network.
Out for Delivery
The letter is at the destination post office and scheduled for delivery that day.
Notice Left
Delivery was attempted, but the recipient was unavailable. USPS left instructions for pickup or redelivery.
Delivered
USPS completed delivery.
Typical timing
- Initial USPS scan: 2 to 3 business days
- Domestic transit: 3 to 5 business days
- Rural destinations: may add 1 to 2 business days
When to contact support
Reach out if:
- there has been no tracking movement for 5 business days,
- the tracking number is missing from the letter details, or
- USPS shows an exception you do not understand.
